Margaret O’Halloran joined Kevin Jackson Architects when the practice was established in 2013. Prior to joining Margaret worked for O’Connell Mahon Architects and prior to this for 12 years with Murray O’Laoire Architects gaining extensive experience working on a wide range of healthcare projects. Margaret has extensive experience of all project work stages from design development, Planning Applications, Disability Access Applications, Fire Certificate Applications, tender preparation and site management.

Margaret started her career working at McColl a London based multi disciplinary design practice, as part of the architectural department, Margaret gained experience on a number of high end retail projects.  Margaret was part of a team from BDG/ McColl who worked on site with a local architectural practice on the construction of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Margaret returned to Ireland to work with Murray O’Laoire Architects where she worked on mainly Healthcare projects including Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar, St John’s Community Hospital in Enniscorthy, the South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel, Wellwood Health Park, Tullamore and at the University Hospital Limerick where she was involved in developing the Critical Care Unit.

Whilst at Kevin Jackson Architects Margaret has been lead technician on the Doctors Residence at UHL, Gort Glas Refurbishment and Extension at St Joseph’s Hospital Ennis, Thomond Primary School at Ballynanty, Limerick City, Crecora National School as well as for the Emergency Department and Renal Department at UHL and developing the 96 bed ward block at UHL. Margaret has supported Kevin Jackson in providing site inspections and the technical advice in KJA’s role as Technical Advisor for the new 24 Bed Ward in University Hospital Limerick (UHL) and a new 24 bed ward, Operating Theatre Department and HSSD Department at Croom Orthopaedic Hospital which projects were carried out during the peak of the Covid 19 pandemic and were realised in an extraordinarily short programme.  Recently Margaret has been working as lead technician on the  Rockfield Site incorporating  Beaumont House, Rockfield House, St Annes and the Convent and Chapel for Beaumont Hospital. Margaret’s extensive experience includes:
